Reviews

With a purpose built cheese-room, and excellent wine chosen by Cathal McHugh, Aidan and Karen McNeice’s deli and wine shop is the destination baby-booming Drumcondra has being waiting for. The location is the old Youkstetters pork shop, and with Ariosa coffee and charcuterie plates for the punters who want to grab something to eat in store, and lots of fine foods that reflect the passionate, food lovin’ nature of the proprietors, the CP is the latest element in the northside’s culinary renaissance- The Bridgestone Irish Food Guide

The Cheese Pantry is housed in what was once a fantastic butcher’s shop called Youkstetters on the Drumcondra Road. Shame the butcher’s have gone but what a welcome reincarnation. The dining room is tiny, but bright and airy. We ordered the Lazy Lunch Platter for two (€17.95). It was brought out by someone who we presumed was the owner, such was his passion for the food we had ordered. The large platter held generous portions of Grubben, venison salami, corzier cheese, cornichons, smoked salmon and other palate-pleasers. Plenty of tasty produce to take home too. Ask about “the greatest olive oil on earth”- we think it just might be.-The Dubliner 100 BEST REStaurants
